iLuminate at the Kids’ Inaugural Concert

The new year has begun and iLuminate continues to light up the stage in every corner of the world. Who is off limits to this incredible dance driven light show? Apparently, no one!

The lovely first lady, Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden extended an invitation for us to perform for the 2013 Kid’s Inaugural Concert and we quickly accepted. The concert derives from a tradition that started in 2009, where military families are celebrated for their sacrifices and service for our country. The building was packed with proud visitors, military officials, and even more confident locals.

We took to the stage to perform our amazing choreography set to the UK Hearthrobs One Direction’s single “Glad You Came”. The audience went BANANAS once Nick Cannon introduced us and the lights went out.

We danced our poor hearts out in front of the 1st family and all of their friends and guests. We were able to share the same stage with Katy Perry, Far East Movement, Mindless Behavior, Usher, Soul Children of Chicago with Black Violin, and the amazing cast of Glee.

The atmosphere in Washington, DC was incredible. The experience alone was monumental. It was a quick moment of unimaginable bliss and we were truly honored to partake in entertainment history. Check out some pics of us getting ready backstage and some more outside of our suits with other performers and important guests.
